The Legatus Mystery - first UK edition

by Rosemary Rowe - signed

Fifth book in the "Libertus" series, which takes place in Roman Britain. When the body of a murdered lord, who was in Glevum for the birthday celebration of the Emperor, disappears, Libertus looks for a human reason for the murder. Crowd mentality has it that it was the work of the gods as the body was discovered in the temple of the Imperial cult and a horrific howling was heard the night the body disappeared. Libertus isn't convinced.

Book has black boards with silver writing on the spine. Signed on the title page with a Latin inscription translated as 'necessity has no laws'. Fine condition.

Jacket has always been protected, is price-intact at £18.99.
