But he falls disastrously in love with Gwinfreda, daughter of a Saxon king . . . The story is narrated by Caius Geladius (a descendant of the famous Geladii about whom Mr. Gloag has written in the first two volumes of this trilogy.

Book has reddish-brown boards with the title stamped in silver on the spine. Clean inside and out, with sharp corners; tight text in an excellent binding; page edges slightly faded.
