Berlin Diary - first printing of second US edition

by William Shirer

Subtitled, "The Journal of a Foreign Correspondent, 1934-1941. this is a first hand account of the rise of Hitler and the beginning of WWII, from Berlin, Germany. With a tipped-in picture of Shirer at a CBS microphone clipped from a magazine. Oddly enough Churchill's picture is juxtaposed on the reverse of the clipping, with a blurb about a book he just authored.

Book is the first printing of the well-known second edition. Top pages inked red to match the 100% cloth boards. Title printed in silver on front board and spine. Corner worn, war paper aging, but overall in great shape for being 60+ years old.

Jacket is aged but completely intact, no clipping or chipping; some edge wear and tiny tears; browned where exposed to wear and light, but otherwise in very nice condition. Now protected by mylar.
