Count Belisarius - Literary Guild edition

by Robert Graves

A narrative history of the rich world of the 6th century AD Christian Roman Empire. Belisarius is a general whose story carries us from the Euphrates to the Straits of Gibraltar, ultimately to Constantinople. At that time, it was the richest, most populous, most powerful city in existence. Nice read.

The book, 564 pages, is rust colored cloth with an embossed spine, previous owners' names and stamps on inside cover and fly, otherwise in fine condition, straight, square, and tight. Price-clipped dust jacket is edge-rubbed, small edge tears less than 1/4".
