The Dark Mile - 1947 UK printing

by D. K. Broster

A sequel to Miss Broster's novels "The Flight of the Heron" and "The Gleam in the North", presenting what must certainly be one of the truest and most moving pictures of Scottish Jacobitism during the dark years which followed Culloden. This is the concluding novel in what is referred to as 'The Jacobite Trilogy'.

Book is blue boards with silver printing on the spine; some loss to lettering. There is a label inside from the previous owner, to whom a wonderful inscription has been written by in, obviously by a smitten young admirer. Without the personalizations, the book would be fine.

The jacket shows minimal tearing or edge wear, price intact at 8s6d
