Complete and unexpurgated, this is the modern translation by Richard
Aldington. Originally written in the middle of the fourteenth century, this book
contains one hundred stories told in ten days by seven ladies and three young
men, prompted by the horror of a universal pestilence which had already
decimated. Containing, colored illustrations by Jean De Bosschere, this is a
very nice, collectible copy of a classic title.
Book has black boards with the spine decorated in gold and the title printed on
a field of lavender; 576 pages; corners rounded but not bumped; top page edges
inked; pages browning; clean inside and out. An excellent, collectible copy.
