Quo Vadis - modern translated edition

by  Henryk Sienkiewicz

Wonderful, modern, very readable  translation from the original Polish by W. S. Kuniczak, of the classic story of life in the Roman empire under Nero, as narrated by a Christian.  Originally written and published in Polish in 1896, this book written during the same period of time that Ben Hur was first being published.  This was made into a movie in the late 1950's, when epic biblical dramas were being produced.  A very good read with obvious Christian themes.

Book is oatmeal boards with loden green cloth spine, gold printed, in fine condition. Dust jacket appears to have always been mylared. 579 pages.
