Rabble in Arms - Fort Ticonderoga Edition

by Kenneth Roberts - signed

Continuation from Arundel, this is the story of Benedict Arnold's army's attempt to capture Quebec in the early days of the Revolutionary War.

The book is a Fort Ticonderoga Edition. Includes a tipped-in page with the engraving of Fort Ticonderoga and the notation that "This book is one of a special edition autographed at Fort Ticonderoga", signed by the author. According to Firsts Magazine (Jan 1994 page 30) this may have been limited to 500 copies. Because copyright dates seen are 1935, 1936, and 1939, it is thought that Doubleday simply inserted the pages into copies it had on hand; thus, this is not a TRUE separate edition. Still highly collectible.

Book is navy blue 'quilted' pattern embossed. Gold printing on spine and embossed eagle on cover. Very good, front hinge is starting. Dust jacket is in very good condition. Corners clipped, but price still intact ($2.50). There are minor chips at the top of the spine. A collectible copy.
