The Sea Beggars - first US edition

by Cecelia Holland

Story of a 16th century orphaned brother and sister who live in the Lowlands. Protestants and Catholics live peacefully side by side, until King Philip II of Spain orders his army to purge the area of what is current day Netherlands and Belgium of heretics, by extending the shroud of the Inquisition. A very good piece of historic fiction.

Book is light olive green boards with parchment cloth spine, title printed in gold in VG+ condition. Dust wrapper is fully intact with very minimal edge wear at top of spine, also in VG+ condition.
