A Shadow Of Gulls - first UK edition

by Patricia Finney

First novel by the author, thus difficult to find and very collectible. The story of Lugh the Harper, son of a Roman fugitive and an Irish priestess in the second century AD, as he relates his adventures in later life to the Roman Emperor Hadrian. Excellent attention to historic detail.

Book has green boards, stamped in gold on the spine. Corners are square, but the boards bow a bit and there are 8 pages that have a tiny fold along the edge that has since been flattened. Top page edges dusty. Clean inside and out, thus very good.

Jacket shows evidence of spine fading, with minor edge wear; no chipping and price intact; a few spots on bottom edge of rear inside flap; very good.
