The White Company - first N.C. Wyeth illustrated edition

by Arthur Conan Doyle

Doyle's story of chivalry, knights, monks and fair damsels, all lavishly illustrated by Wyeth. This copy is a FIRST edition, produced by Cosmopolitan Book Corp. Condition is very good to fine: binding is a bit soft with webbing showing inside the rear cover, but all pages and the cover are attached securely. Pages are free of rips/tears/creases/marks, and show only some faint age darkening and some very small and occasional corner dings. The illustrations, on glossy paper, are very fine, showing at worst, a tiny corner ding. The illustrated cover (no dust jacket) with applied illustration shows some shelf wear (moderate) with corner rubs and some fraying at the top and bottom of the spine (most noticeably at the top, where there is a ½" split)., The illustration shows some light surface scuffing and some very minor edge rubbing and a corner ding in the upper right corner. Overall, however, this book is far better than average and it is a hard-to-find FIRST edition Wyeth.
